FITCHBURG — A 26-year-old man, who was found bleeding on the back porch of 68 Marshall St. yesterday at about 2 p.m., has died from his wounds, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr.
Luis Rodriguez was transported to Leominster Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. He had been assaulted in his home, a third floor apartment at 82 Marshall St. He fled the attack, coming to rest on his neighbor’s porch.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has accepted the case and will perform an autopsy.
There have been no arrests in the case.
State Police Detectives assigned to Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and Fitchburg Police detectives are investigating. No other information will be released at this time.
